Piedras Blancas lighthouse beckons...

Piedras Blancas Light Station has a lot more to offer than its historical tour of this charming lighthouse... it's also a sanctuary for all sorts of wildlife, sea life, natural wonders and spectacular views... and of course the namesake white rocks...

June not gloomy at Morro Bay...

The morning fog burns off to reveal Morro Rock and a beautiful day at the bay...

Roadside produce at Stranded Market...

Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, a nutty treat from a favorite roadside produce stand...

These mini avocados are packed with flavor at 10 for $1, and the generous folks at The Stranded Market in the seaside village of La Conchita are apt to throw in another dozen or so just because...

A squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of cayenne paper and these bit-size treats are the perfect compliment to an afternoon beer on the deck...
